  • BURNING IS ILLEGAL IN UPPER ROVIDENCE
    As a reminder to all residents, burning of ANY materials for disposal purposes is illegal and subject to possible fines and court costs within Upper Providence Township in accordance Ordinance #506 of January 4th 2010. This means that there is absolutely no burning of trash in burn barrels or burning of leaves and limbs. At this time, the only allowable fire is for recreation purposes and shall be located in a chimnea or novelty stove designed for such activity. Furthermore, all manufacturer guidelines shall be followed regarding the proper use of chimnea’s or novelty stoves. All recreation fires shall be conducted with fire wood type materials only and shall be located at least 50’ from any building, structure, combustible material or public right away.
