Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County, is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Director of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services. This is a permanent, full-time supervisory position. Desired qualifications include (but not limited to):

  • An Associates Degree in Fire Science, Public Administration or related field, or graduation from the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program
  • 5 years previous municipal fire marshal experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Uniform Construction Code certifications as required for Fire Marshal under the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act
  • Valid Class “C” Pennsylvania Operators License

Application forms must be obtained Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Completed application forms and resumes must be submitted to the Department Office at the above address no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008.
