    Tax Collector Beverly Nohl can be reached at 484-391-2370. Ms. Nohl collects the per capita tax. All other taxes are collected by Berkheimer.
  1. Does the township provide trash removal service?
    The township does not provide trash service. Residents must contract with a private hauler; these haulers serve residents in the township:

    Residents can pick up recycling bins at the township office. The township does not endorse any one hauler. The list of known haulers above is a courtesy to residents.

    The township provides sewer service but does not provide water service. Residents must contract with a private water service company, such as the Pennsylvania American Water Company, 800-462-7279.

  5. How do I dispose of household hazardous waste products, such as old paint cans, oil, and cleaners?
    Please save your household hazardous waste, computer equipment, and small electronics for collection days, held several times a year by Montgomery County. Download collection guidelines, and find out more details by visiting www.montgomerycountyrecycles.org or calling 610-278-3618.

  7. When do I need to obtain a building permit?
    The township requires permits for, but not limited to:
    1. New construction
    2. Additions and alterations
    3. Garages
    4. Gazebos
    5. Patios with footers
    6. Decks
    7. Fences
    8. Barns
    9. In-ground and above-ground pools
    10. Storage sheds

  8. Can I burn yard waste?
    Residents may only use fires for recreation and ceremonial purposes as well as for cooking provided an Allowable Burning and Open Flame Permit has been obtained from the Fire Marshal. No permit is required to use residential charcoal & gas grills.

  9. Who do I call for recreation information, field reservations, classes and trips?

    Please call the Pennsylvania Game Commission, 610-926-1966.

  13. Am I required to paint my house number on the curb in front of my house?
    Private vendors occasionally offer to paint house numbers on curbs for a fee. These vendors have no connection with the township and you are not required to use their services. However, Township ordinance does require that numbers on all buildings are visible from the street.

  14. Where can I get rabies shots for my dog, cat, or ferret?
    The Montgomery County Health Department offers rabies clinics in June for dogs, cats, and ferrets. The vaccine is good for three years. Animals must be leashed or in an approved carrier. Please call 610-278-5117 for more information.

  15. How do I make a complaint?
    You may download the complaint form and fax your completed form to the township at 610-983-0355 or drop it off at the township building.

  16. We have a lot of mosquitoes in the area. What can I do to reduce their numbers?
    Eliminating mosquito-breeding areas can help reduce mosquitoes, which can carry the West Nile virus. To help reduce mosquitoes follow these tips from the Department of Environmental Protection.
