Who We Are & What We Do

The Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) was established by Ordinance in July of 2007 and was created to provide a basic and consistent approach in providing emergency services within the Township. Comprised of 120 active and certified responders, the department protects over 20,000 residents covering just over 18 square miles.

The Service We Provide

The department responds to approximately 500 calls for service a year. In addition to fire suppression, the department provides community services including: rescue services, hazardous material response, fire police, fire investigation, fire code enforcement, and emergency management.

Thank you to the men and women who make up our valiant volunteer fire service!
