Road Closure
Township Line Road between Linfield-Trappe Road and Buckwalter Road

The section of Township Line Road (SR 4014) between Linfield-Trappe Road and
Buckwalter Road is scheduled to be closed for roadwork starting Tuesday, March 16,
2010. This detour also includes the closure of Old Mill Road and Rittenhouse Road at
Township Line Road. Advance signs warning motorists of the planned road closure are
now being installed.
The posted detour route for Township Line Road traffic will be along portions of Ridge
Pike and Lewis Road and along the portion of Township Line Road/Walnut Street to the
south of US 422. Additional detour and advance informational signs will be provided
along Township Line Road, Ridge Pike, Lewis Road, Linfield-Trappe Road and Borough
Line Road.
The closure is necessary for the construction of a new, realigned Rittenhouse Road
intersection, the widening of Township Line Road for separate turning lanes and
signalization. The project is part of the access improvements for the new Archdiocesan
High School and THP Burbank Grove residential development on Rittenhouse Road.
The roadway and intersection improvements are expected to take several months and
be completed in time for the September opening of the new high school.
