On Monday, August 18, 2014, Chief Mark Toomey presented Detective Patrick Haines with a Letter of Commendation for his investigation of a residential burglary that occurred in April 2014 on Hopwood Road in Upper Providence Township. Items stolen included jewelry totaling $69,124.00

During the course of the investigation, Detective Haines learned that numerous pieces of jewelry had been pawned in Philadelphia which matched the jewelry missing from the victim's home. Following this, he developed James Morganstern as a suspect. With cooperation from Limerick Township detectives, Detective Haines conducted an interview of Morganstern which eventually led to his arrest.
