At the Upper Providence Township Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting on Monday, September 20, Kyle Lochner was sworn in as a full-time firefighter/EMT for the Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services. Lochner joined the department on a part-time basis in 2018.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Lochner began his fire service career at the age of 14 as a junior firefighter with the Lower Providence Fire Department. He continues to volunteer with this company and currently holds the rank of lieutenant.
Lochner received his fire training at the Bucks County Department of Public Safety Training Center and the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety Training Center.
He completed his EMT coursework through Harrisburg Area Community College.
“I am grateful to be working with Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services,” says Lochner. “The crew is amazing, and the growth and vision of the department is inspiring.”
Lochner and his wife have a three-year daughter and a newborn son. In his free time, he enjoys fitness training and continuing education.
