Timothy Tieperman

Tim Tieperman has served as Upper Providence Township's municipal manager since 2015.  A seasoned manager with over 30 years’ experience, he has served in five municipalities in three states since receiving his Master's in Public Administration in 1989 from the University of Pittsburgh. A native of Kansas, Tim loves working in local government, and has a special affinity for Upper Providence Township (UPT).

States Tieperman, "Of all the municipalities that I have managed, UPT is by far the most proactive community in which I have worked.  Leaders here plan and prepare for future challenges.   They consistently take a regional lead on important local issues such as emergency services and economic development.   UPT is a well-zoned and well-planned community with a diverse tax base and visionary leaders. The residents are engaged, and the elected officials truly care about the welfare of its residents and businesses, always looking for ways to improve UPT's quality of life and keeping residents safe and secure."

When he's not in the office or attending a night meeting, Tim enjoys recreational biking, group training and participating in charity events. He is a member of the Spring-Ford Rotary and serves as an elder in his local church. He also manages the Friends of Upper Providence Township, a locally-based 501(c)(3) charity devoted to local causes and events, which are often outside the scope of local government.

Tim is happily married to his wife of 31 years and has adult two daughters and is now pop pop to his first and recently born grandchild.
