ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County will receive sealed bids online for the Greenwood Avenue Sanitary Sewer Extensions project. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the PennBid™ Program until 10:00 A.M. local time, Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
The work to be performed on this project includes providing all labor, equipment and materials to install approximately 780 linear feet of eight (8) inch diameter SDR26 PVC sanitary sewer pipe with 4 precast concrete manholes and associated appurtenances. The eight (8) inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe will be installed in Greenwood Avenue as shown on the Contract Drawings and as described in the Contract Specifications. The project also includes furnishing and installing wye fittings and six (6) inch diameter SDR26 PVC sanitary sewer pipe laterals to the right-of-way line of the existing street for each existing property. The project will also include the milling and pavement resurfacing of a portion of Greenwood Avenue to the depths and limits as shown on the Contract Drawings and as described in the Contract Specifications.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for the period of days stated in the bid form from the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount, thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Liens.
The right is reserved to waive any informality in the Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated.
The work in this contract shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442)
