[ARCHIVED] Accredited Police Department

UPT PD

Upper Providence Township Police Department has been officially recognized as an accredited police department.  On November 14, 2017, the PA Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission held their quarterly meeting with 15 Commission members and four police departments present.    The onsite lead assessor gave a complimentary oral report of the three assessors’ findings.  The Commission unanimously voted to grant Upper Providence Police Department Accreditation status.

It has been the core goal of the Township to provide Upper Providence Residents with the best and highest quality of police services.  This process would not come to fruition without the determination of the Board of Supervisors and the hard work and dedication of Chief Mark Toomey, Lieutenant Mark Freeman and Assistant Accreditation Manager, Eric Schmitz.

A plaque was presented to the Department, which now adorns the walls of the Police Station.  Congratulations to the men and woman of the Upper Providence Township Police Department for your professionalism and standards in the workplace.
