Members of the DFES, the Township Public Works Department, the Montgomery County Department of Health and the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety conducted a hands-on setup of the public health preparedness tents and accessories. These items are stored onsite and were provided to Montgomery County through a grant.
Upper Providence Township is one of several sites across Montgomery County where, should the need ever arise, the public would be able to receive whatever inoculation or medication is required based on the situation at hand.
With the coordination of all parties involved, a controlled ‘drive thru’ of the tents would allow for rapid orderly dissemination of whatever is required to keep the community safe.
