Members of the DFES and the Royersford Fire Department took time today to conduct 'roll-in' drills at the Chester County Department of Emergency Services Training Center. The 15 Firefighters, both employees and volunteers, worked seamlessly together as they 'rolled-in' or responded to 6 structure fire scenarios. Crews worked at advancing hose lines to control and ultimately extinguish interior fires, placed ladders to windows for occupant and disoriented Firefighter escape, and practiced searching for trapped occupants. At the completion of each scenario, crews replaced and restored their equipment, went around the block and did it all over again! "Don't train until you get it right, train until you can't get it wrong"
