At the June 19th Board of Supervisors meeting, Mark Gama, Michael Webb, and Taylor Green were all presented with an award to show appreciation for the invaluable services and contributions they provided to the Upper Providence Township Annual Jam at Black Rock Event.
Supervisor Bill Starling had this to say;
“I’d like to recognize the following people for their outstanding dedication to community service; Mark Gama, Michael Webb, and Park Board member Taylor Green. The way you represent our Township is unmatched and greatly appreciated. Thank you for being such a great partner with the Township in the creation, implementation, and execution of the well-attended Jam at Black Rock. The Jam at Black Rock is a unique event at our skate park with live music, vendors, motivational speakers, and skill demonstrations. The event is a confidence booster for those just getting into skateboarding and a chance for the more skilled participants to showcase their tricks. This event is partnered with our Parks and Recreation department with a sincere donation fee of canned goods to PACS. The event brought in over 120 lbs. of food to PACS this year. Again, thank you Mark, Michael, and Taylor for all your efforts, we look forward to the Jam at Black Rock 2024!”
