Members of the Fire Marshals Office recently conducted a flush inspection for some newly installed underground fire hydrant and fire sprinkler system water lines.
At this inspection, the contractor's approach was incorrect and would have been unable to remove the debris. Fortunately, the Fire Marshal's Office has the crew of the Township fire engine to assist in conducting the flush correctly.
During the inspection (as you can see below) stones were flushed out of the piping. Debris like this can severely damage our fire engine's pump and clog fire sprinklers during a fire condition. The importance of this particular inspection as well as proactive Fire Marshal's Office cannot be understated.
