SMOKE ALARM BLITZ
EVENT DATE: April 23, 2022
EVENT LOCATIONS: Mont Clare, Port Providence sections of UPT
EVENT TIME: 9:00 a.m.
The Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) along with Black Rock Fire Company are conducting a Smoke Alarm Blitz in the Mont Clare, Port Providence section of the Township. DFES and Black Rock are partnering with the American Red Cross and will be going door to door installing FREE 10-year smoke alarms to the residents who were affected by Hurricane Ida.
The Smoke Alarm Blitz will take place on Saturday April 23, 2022, starting at 9:00 a.m. There will be (6) teams going door to door. There is no charge for smoke alarms. If you are not home or unable to be at your house on Saturday April 23rd, crews will leave a door hanger on your front door with information on who and how to contact the DFES to setup a date in the future for the Department to come out and install smoke alarms.
The targeted streets that we will be covering are listed below:
- Jacob Street from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church towards Bridge Street
- Walnut Street from Bridge Street towards Port Providence Road
