Environmental Advisory Council

Duties and Purpose

The Environmental Advisory Council promotes community programs that build environmental literacy, recommends plans and programs to the Board of Supervisors for the promotion and conservation of the natural resources, helps inventory open spaces and catalog their environmental features and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission on ways to better promote, preserve and protect sensitive environmental features within Upper Providence Township.

The council is made up of a sitting member of the Parks and Rec Board, the Planning Commission, and the Municipal Authority with two at-large members.

The council meets at 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday bimonthly
