PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND ORDINANCE HEARING
The UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS will take action on the following Ordinance at a special meeting on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., to be held at the Township Administration Building, 1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville, PA.
The public is invited to attend this meeting in person. The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on and will consider for adoption, an Ordinance which would amend the Code of the Township at Chapter 300 – “Zoning,” Article XVII - “OSR-2 Open Space Residential Community-2”.
The Ordinance to be considered and acted upon is the following:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF UPPER PROVIDENCE AT PART II [GENERAL LEGISLATION], CHAPTER 300 [ZONING], BY AMENDING AND RESTATING ARTICLE XVII [OSR-2 OPEN SPACE RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY-2] TO REVISE REGULATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN OPEN SPACE RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY
The proposed Ordinance to be considered and acted upon on May 29, 2024, has been drafted in the interest of maintenance of peace, good government, and the health, safety, morals, general welfare, cleanliness, beauty, convenience and comfort of Upper Providence Township and its residents.
The proposed Ordinance, inter alia, amends the Upper Providence Township Code at Chapter 300 – “Zoning,” by amending and restating Article XVII - “OSR-2 Open Space Residential Community-2” to revise regulations for open space residential community development in the OSR-2 Open Space Residential Community-2 Overlay, repeals all inconsistent ordinances, and establishes an effective date for the ordinance, as further outlined in the Ordinance.
The full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined by any citizen in the Office of the Manager of Upper Providence Township located at 1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A copy of the ordinance can also be reviewed at the offices of The Mercury, located at 390 Eagleview Blvd, Exton, PA 19341, during normal business hours. A copy of the proposed Ordinance can be obtained by mail upon request to the Township. A copy of the proposed Ordinance can also be found on the Township’s website, at www.uprov-montco.org.
