NOTICE TOWNSHIP OF UPPER PROVIDENCE MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA PROPOSED ORDINANCE
The Board of Supervisors of the Township of Upper Providence will meet on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 7:00pm at the Township Municipal Campus, located at 1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville, PA, to consider enactment of the ordinance summarized below. The Board may choose to vote on the ordinance that evening or defer a vote until a later date. The complete title of the proposed Ordinance is as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP AMENDING THE TOWNSHIP'S VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ORDINANCE TO ADD A FOUR WAY STOP AT UPPER INDIAN HEAD ROAD AND FREEDOM VALLEY DRIVE; AND, ADDING A NO PARKING ZONE ON UPPER INDIAN HEAD ROAD BETWEEN FREEDOM VALLEY DRIVE AND LOWER INDIAN HEAD ROAD; BEING ORDINANCES 285-49 AND 285-54, RESPECTIVELY; LEAVING THE REMAINDER OF THE ORDINANCES IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT; INCLUDING A REPEALER CLAUSE; EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
Section 1 adds four-way stop signs at the intersection of Upper Indian Head Road and Freedom Valley Drive. Section 2 prohibits parking at all times along Upper Indian Head Road on both sides between Freedom Valley Drive and Lower Indian Head Road. Sections 3 and 4 contain repealer, and effective date clauses.
